🚀 Role Responsibilities
💡 Lead and direct a multi-disciplinary engineering team to:
🔍 Identify the feasibility of the approach
📄 Develop an outline requirement specification
📈 Identify the TRL levels and associated development plans to deliver a viable solution
🗂️ Prepare a plan for the delivery of the appraise and select phase of the project. Deliver to the agreed time, cost and quality
👥 Lead the multidiscipline teams, responsible for estimating, scheduling, forecasting and the production of the agreed design deliverables
📘 Manage the DSA teams in production of deliverables
🛡️ Develop the safety case(s), including attendance at HAZOPs, support to safety assessment, review of ES, and production of substantiation documentation
🧑🔧 Identify additional resource demand where required to ensure all deliverables can be originated and checked in accordance with the project schedule
🔗 Interface with other Project Discipline leads within the project(s)
🤝 Interface and engage with Site clients and stakeholders
🎯 Essential Experience
🛠️ Background in engineering, demonstrating a record of successful delivery including recent leadership roles guiding technical personnel
🏗️ Significant experience in an engineering design environment with strong technical knowledge
☢️ Recent experience working within a regulated and quality-assured system (preferably nuclear), where professional engineering judgment is key
⚖️ Knowledge and understanding of governing laws, regulations, and standards for the nuclear industry (equivalent experience in other industries will be considered):

⚙️ Safety of Machinery, CDM, LOLER, Pressure Systems, DSEAR, Ionising Radiation
🧪 Identification of Technological Readiness Levels and development of technology development plans
