Job Overview

The Lead Architect will be responsible for leading architectural design and coordination for large-scale Metro Rail and Airport infrastructure projects. The role involves concept development, detailed design, authority approvals, stakeholder coordination, and team leadership to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead architectural design for Metro stations, depots, airport terminals, concourses, and allied infrastructure.

  • Develop concept, schematic, and detailed design drawings.

  • Coordinate with structural, MEP, BIM, and civil teams to ensure integrated design solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, airport/metro authority standards, fire norms, and sustainability guidelines.

  • Manage design documentation, BOQs, specifications, and tender drawings.

  • Attend client meetings and presentations; address design comments and revisions.

  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and government authorities for approvals.

  • Review shop drawings and ensure design intent is maintained during execution.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and design teams.

  • Ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.

    Technical Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of Metro and Airport design standards.

  • Experience in transit-oriented development and public infrastructure projects.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools, SketchUp, and MS Office.

  • Knowledge of sustainable design practices and green building standards.

  • Familiarity with NBC, fire safety norms, and international aviation standards (where applicable).
