Description:
The A’s are seeking a seasonal Pitch Clock Operator for the 2026 Arizona Complex League season. This individual is responsible for accurately managing the pitch timer in accordance with MLB rules and working closely with game officials to ensure proper implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and accurately reset pitch clock timers after each pitch and at other designated times as required by MLB rules.
  • Operate timing equipment efficiently, including setup prior to the game and proper shutdown postgame.
  • Quickly assess and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure minimal disruption during gameplay.
  • Maintain a professional, courteous, and dependable presence at all times.
  • Collaborate with the official scorer, umpires, and designated team personnel to interpret pitch clock regulations and violations in alignment with MLB standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the Official Baseball Rules, particularly those related to the pitch clock and pace-of-play regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and consistency.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Comfortable operating under pressure in a live, fast-paced game setting.
  • Professional, cooperative attitude when interacting with MLB officials, game staff, and team personnel.
  • Availability required for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with the potential for extended hours depending on game schedules.
