Data Research Engineer
Job Overview
Atlantbh is looking for a talented Data Research Engineer to join our team, focusing on the evaluation and processing of analytics data. Our day-to-day work crosses many functional areas, including data pipelines design, anomaly detection systems and ad hoc data analysis. We are looking for an individual who is excited to work with data, uncover data patterns and inconsistencies and feel comfortable balancing both engineering and business goals.
Requirements
An ideal candidate would have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong technical background to be able to process large datasets at scale, identify optimization opportunities (e.g. improving query speed, reducing memory or storage) in our data systems, and implementing those enhancements.
- Excellent programming skills, preferably in Python
- Background includes at least one database system (e.g., PostgreSQL)
- Excellent data analysis skills
- Experience in a big data processing framework such as Spark
- Knowledge of Git and Git best practices
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
Nice-to-have Experience
- Prior industry experience in Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or similar positions
- Familiar with the software ecosystem for big data analytics
- Prior experience with data visualization tools (Plotly, Tableau or similar)
- Experience with cloud computing environment such as AWS or GCP
- Prior industry experience with Airflow or other job orchestration technologies
