At Aurora, we’re not just building a product; we’re building the future of transportation. To get there, we need a supply chain that is as innovative and resilient as our technology. We are looking for a Global Supply Manager (GSM) – Indirect who can bridge the gap between high-level strategy and tactical execution, ensuring our teams have the software, services, and workforce they need to move fast.
As a GSM, you won’t just be "buying things." You will be a strategic partner to our Engineering and Operations teams, navigating the complexities of the autonomous vehicle (AV) landscape and scaling our indirect spend categories globally.
In this role, you will
- Lead end-to-end procurement for enterprise software, SaaS, and cloud services, negotiating complex agreements to secure best-in-class developer tools while protecting Aurora.
- Drive sourcing strategies for Contingent Workforce and AV Operations, managing partners who support testing and mission-critical hardware deployments.
- Establish global sourcing strategies balancing cost, risk, and speed. Develop "should-cost" models and lead competitive RFxs to standardize spending.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Finance, and Legal to ensure efficient yet rigorous procurement processes.
- Monitor supplier performance via structured QBRs and KPIs, ensuring partners meet high quality and safety standards and grow with Aurora.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of strategic sourcing experience, with a strong focus on Software and Professional Services categories.
- Strong analytical skills, including cost modeling and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven experience in developing presentations for financial and business leadership.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment with evolving procurement needs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to influence at all levels.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with ERP and procurement tools (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle)
- Proven experience managing contingent labor programs or operational/field services. Candidates with a background in AV, robotics, or high-tech manufacturing are preferred.
The base salary range for this position is $143,000 - $229,000 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
