About the job
We're looking for a New Car Performance Manager to join our Sales & Customer Partnerships team in Manchester.
This is an exciting time to join us, New Car is a key strategic priority for Autotrader. In this customer-facing, collaborative role, you will work closely with car retailers, manufacturers, and internal teams to champion our innovative New Car product. Ultimately, we are trying to help retailers sell new cars. Through regular face-to-face interactions and partnership building, you'll help retailers optimise how they showcase their brand-new, unregistered stock to online buyers. We connect over 2 million buyers monthly to the best retailers near them, delivering 1,000s of new-car leads to retailers every week.
You'll become a trusted partner to our customers, simplifying complex data and products, and aligning them with retailer goals and strategies. By building strong face-to-face relationships with car retailers and manufacturers, you'll drive product success and engagement through building relationships and sharing best practices, supporting retailers to optimise their stock listing, delivering hands-on training and guidance, proactively resolving challenges and providing ongoing support
Additionally, you'll work closely with internal teams, including our Account Managers and Account Directors, sharing customer insights, providing strategic product guidance, and collaborating to unlock new commercial opportunities for retailers.
This role also carries clear commercial accountability. You’ll be motivated by sales targets, confident in managing a pipeline of opportunities, and proactive in driving performance against agreed outcomes. With resilience and tenacity, you’ll follow up, overcome objections, and consistently look for ways to grow adoption and maximise impact—taking ownership of results and pushing for excellence in every partnership.
Think of this role as a hybrid, combining elements of an Account Manager, Customer Success Manager, and Performance Manager to drive product success, but without the need to be a car enthusiast.

- Experience in using data to tell a story, and you’ll be confident using Excel or other insight tools such as Looker.

During our application process, you will be asked two questions to help us learn more about you and how you align with our values. These will be used as part of our selection criteria, to determine if we progress your application further.
