Position Title: Accounts & HR Officer

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Location: No. 1B, Adeniji Street, Off Odusami Street, Ogba, Lagos

Salary: ₦250,000.00 monthly

Role Overview

The Accounts & HR Officer will oversee both financial and human resources functions within the organization. This dual role requires ensuring accurate bookkeeping, maintaining proper financial records, and handling day-to-day HR administration, including employee records, recruitment documentation, and statutory compliance. The officer will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Business Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance

Record daily financial transactions (income, expenses, invoices, receipts).

Maintain accurate filing of financial documents and vouchers.

Manage petty cash and assist with bank reconciliations.

Prepare monthly financial summaries and reports for management.

Support statutory filings (Tax, Pension, NHF, NSITF, etc.).

Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.

Human Resources

Maintain and update employee records and personnel files.

Assist with recruitment (posting vacancies, scheduling interviews, collating candidate documents).

Keep attendance, leave, and training records accurate and up to date.

Support payroll preparation (staff data, deductions, benefits, etc.).

Ensure compliance with HR policies and Nigerian labour laws.

Provide general HR administrative support

Requirements

Requirements

OND/HND/B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

2–4 years of proven experience in Accounting and/or HR roles.

Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and HR administration.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools.

Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, pensions, and statutory deductions.

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality in financial and employee matters.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to multitask and manage dual responsibilities effectively.
