Job Overview
Avant Tech is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aides (PCA) or Home Health Aides (HHA) to join our growing team in providing quality in-home care to clients. In this role, you will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and well-being while maintaining their independence in the comfort of their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
- Support clients with mobility and transferring, including helping with walking and using assistive devices.
- Assist with medication reminders and monitor client’s health status, reporting any changes to nursing staff.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean environment for clients.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or community activities as needed.
- Document care provided and changes in the client’s condition in accordance with company policies.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid PCA or HHA certification in the state where you will be providing care.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in home health care or related field is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Compassionate and patient-oriented approach to caregiving.
- Ability to assist with physical demands of the position, including lifting and supporting clients.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening process.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
