Job Overview

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

Be integral to the Technical Services function for Australia & New Zealand by driving customer-focused value-added services, which include Automotive Colour Change and Fleet Application courses, Paint Protection Film Training Courses and Installation problem-solving. Customer warranty support and internal/external training programs that align with our local business strategy. Regular interstate and occasional international travel is required.

You will be responsible for the Technical Support of the Avery Dennison & Mactac brands for the Australian and New Zealand countries. Product segments include Sign, Automotive, Reflective, Screen, Digital Print & Window Films. Be a part of the team delivering world class training & testing from our dedicated Training & Innovation Centre.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Deliver proactive Technical Services to the Australia & New Zealand Graphics Solutions business 
  • Deliver value-added programs & training for the sales organisation, distributors, converters, installers and end users.
  • Actively support the Avery Dennison ICS Warranty Program by qualifying and issuing ICS Warranties in Australia and New Zealand for programs identified by sales and marketing staff
  • Support the implementation and certification of the Certified Installer and Partner Program Network throughout ANZ
  • Deliver market-leading application workshops, providing up-to-date and relevant content and practical skills to users of Avery Dennison products
  • Undertake and deliver on objectives for special new product introduction, application and research projects as required
  • Assist when required in qualifying raw materials & new products by understanding customer needs and evaluation (VOC) for locally, regionally or globally manufactured products
  • Work closely with global R&D teams and Quality Teams to help develop new products and problem-solve issues
  • Actively build and maintain relationships with approved OEMs and equipment partners.
  • Review and produce technical documentation for Australia; Including Product Data Sheets and Instructional Bulletins
  • Recommend processes and procedures for Technical support for distribution and converter customers in conjunction with Technical Services, Sales & Marketing teams
  • Produce monthly, quarterly and annual reports in relation to technical activities.
  • Joint field calls with the Commercial sales team to help deliver incremental business through targeted share-gain programs 
  • Maintain professional and regular contact with Divisions overseas in North America, Europe and the Asia Pacific to ensure relationships and information flow

You will be confident, energetic, charismatic, and have an aptitude for learning, with the ability to analyse a situation and think laterally on the fly. Be able to understand a project brief and develop a strategy for completion in the most efficient manner.

You will create an atmosphere of partnership with team members, key converters and distributors whilst working in alignment with the Avery Dennison company values. You will need to be able to work remotely and unsupervised, ensuring key metrics are met and projects are completed on time.
