Senior product manager
fulltime_permanent mid_levelJob Overview
You bring proven product management experience to Azumuta: starting from company strategy and strategic bets, developing a deep understanding of our customers and their problems and translating that into clear priorities and outcomes for the teams.
You work from:
where the company wants to go
what our customers struggle with today
and what will matter to them next
Your responsibility is to connect those dots and turn them into:
a coherent view on where we should invest
explicit trade-offs
and clear, outcome-driven direction that teams can execute on
This is the do the work part.
At the same time, product management itself is changing.
AI-assisted work, faster feedback loops, and tighter collaboration with engineering are reshaping how product decisions are made.
We expect you to bring experience from the past and actively evolve how product work is done in practice, based on what actually works.
Not through buzzwords, but through practice. This is the do the work better part.
What product management means at Azumuta
For us, strong product management starts with deep customer and domain understanding, combined with forward-looking product judgment. You are expected to understand how manufacturing execution works today, and to reason about how it will change over the coming years.
These are examples of real product questions you will be expected to reason about:
AI agents on the shop floor
How do agents participate in planning, execution, and decision-making?
What does “instruction”, “verification”, and “traceability” mean when software acts autonomously?
Humanoids and advanced robotics
If humanoids start executing work instructions, how should Azumuta be used?
What assumptions in our product break when the “operator” is no longer human?
Higher autonomy and variability in execution
How do we support real-time decision pressure without losing control, auditability, or quality?
Faster feedback loops for process improvement
How do we shorten the loop between execution, insight, and improvement so customers can systematically improve processes, not just observe them?
🚀 What You’ll Be Doing:
We explicitly do not want a product manager who comes in and works the way they always have.
Product management is evolving, just like engineering:
AI changes how product work is done
tighter product–engineering loops change how decisions are made
faster feedback cycles change how learning happens
You are expected to:
stay close to engineers, product owners, and designers
use AI and modern tools to improve clarity, speed, and decision quality
keep what still works from the past and deliberately discard what doesn’t
You work closely with product owners or product leaders, who play an active role in:
translating outcomes into features
shaping solutions with engineering
prioritizing and refining work
validating that the right functionality is built
You ensure direction, priorities, and trade-offs remain clear and coherent across teams.
