Job Overview

Product Trainee Program - Berlin

Build the product experience in the palm of our customers' hands.

Avarda's Product Trainee Program is an 18-month, learn-by-doing program for early-career talent who want to build a career in product. From day one you join a real team with a home domain and contribute to real work — supported by a dedicated mentor and structured exposure across our platform — with the possibility of growing into a Junior Product Manager role.

What you'll do

Based in Berlin, you'll join our App Product track, embedded in the App product team and working closely with the App Product Manager across the full product lifecycle — from user research and discovery to delivery, iteration and measurement. Expect hands-on mobile product management, user-behavior analysis, feature prioritization, and close collaboration with design and engineering. Over the program you'll grow toward owning a feature area end to end.

Especially relevant for this track:
  • Open to feedback and willing to challenge your own ideas.

  • User-centric thinking — you naturally ask “why would a user need this?”

  • Comfortable with basic data analysis to support decisions.

Who you are

We hire for mindset and potential, not ready-made expertise.

  • You learn fast and stay curious — you want to understand the why, and you're comfortable when things are complex or evolving.

  • You think critically — you weigh trade-offs and challenge ideas constructively rather than settling for the obvious answer.

  • You take ownership — you drive things forward and follow through without being chased.

  • You communicate clearly in English and collaborate easily across product, tech and business.

  • You're a team player with low ego — happy to do what's needed, focused on outcomes over status.

  • You're genuinely interested in digital products and how they create value for customers and the business.

Nice to have
  • Some exposure to AI tools or AI-assisted workflows.

  • A basic understanding of digital platforms, APIs or multi-sided markets.

  • You're a recent graduate or early in your career. Studies in business or economics, technology or engineering, or product and innovation are all relevant — but mindset matters more than your degree subject.

What we offer
  • A structured 18-month program with a real role from day one.

  • A home team and a dedicated mentor — your Product Manager.

  • Real ownership early — you deliver, you don't just observe.

  • Structured cross-domain exposure across our product platform.

  • A path to a permanent junior Product Manager role for strong performers.

The details
  • Location: Berlin.

  • Duration: 18 months. Full time.

  • Target start date: September 1, 2026.
