About the role

PolyPeptide is now seeking a Manager Process Development to lead the Process Development (PD) organization. PD plays a critical role in ensuring robust, scalable, and innovative manufacturing processes for peptide APIs, while supporting Production, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and other key stakeholders across the organization.

In this role, you are expected to actively shape how Process Development contributes to PolyPeptide’s long-term success—through clear direction, priorities, strong leadership, customer focus, and continuous development of people, processes and ways of working within the department but also with other teams.

You will lead and develop a team of highly skilled scientists, ensuring both strong delivery and long-term capability building. The role includes close collaboration with local site functions as well as global stakeholders within the PolyPeptide network, and contributes directly to how we develop, industrialize, and maintain competitive manufacturing processes.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Provide clear leadership, direction and vision for the Process Development organization

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of scientists, fostering engagement, accountability and high performance

  • Drive the development, optimization, and transfer of manufacturing processes in alignment with business and regulatory needs

  • Ensure scientific excellence, robust documentation, and fit-for-purpose development strategies including driving CAPEX projects

  • Act as a strategic partner to Production, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Engineering and other stakeholders

  • Represent Process Development in cross-functional and global forums, contributing to broader organizational development

  • Support customer interactions and strategic project discussions from a process development and manufacturing perspective

  • Identify improvement opportunities and drive initiatives that strengthen PolyPeptide’s long-term process development capabilities

As a manager, you act as a representative for PolyPeptide and a role model for our values. You build trust, collaboration, and a strong team culture, and contribute to an open and respectful work environment where people feel engaged and empowered to perform and develop.

Who are we looking for?

To succeed in this role, we believe that you bring:

  • An advanced academic degree in chemistry or a related field (PhD or MSc)

  • Substantial experience in process development within pharmaceuticals, peptides, proteins or closely related areas

  • Proven experience in leading teams, technical organizations and/or complex development projects particularly during change

  • A strong ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels

  • Confidence in collaborating with senior stakeholders across functions and geographies

  • Strong communication skills. Fluency in English, both spoken and written. Swedish is considered a merit but not a requirement

It is considered an advantage if you also have experience with:

  • GMP-regulated environments and API manufacturing

  • Process transfer from development to commercial manufacturing

  • QbD and DoE methodologies

As a leader, you are forward-looking, structured and people-oriented. You take responsibility not only for results, but also for how results are achieved. You lead by example, create clarity in times of change and actively contribute to developing both people and the organization over time.

Application

PolyPeptide offers a dynamic work environment during an exciting growth journey, where you have the chance to both challenge yourself and make an impact. With us, you not only get the opportunity to truly make a difference, but also to be part of a great team where we have fun together. With favorable reduced working hours, time off on bridging days, and a strong focus on health and wellness activities, we create conditions for well-being both at and outside of work.

We look forward to receiving your application! The final application date is May 15th 2026, but applications will be reviewed continuously, which means we may proceed with the recruitment process before the deadline.
