Calibration and Metrology Specialist - Torrance

As a Calibration and Metrology Specialist, you’ll ensure that every instrument, sensor, and system supporting our GMP manufacturing and laboratory operations performs flawlessly. Your expertise will help maintain compliance, uphold quality standards, and support the production of life-changing peptide and oligonucleotide therapies.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform and document calibrations and maintenance on lab, production, and facility equipment.
  • Maintain accurate calibration records in compliance with cGMP, ISO, and FDA requirements.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and support investigations for calibration deviations or out-of-tolerance results.
  • Coordinate with vendors for third-party calibration, qualification, and repair services.
  • Develop and refine calibration schedules, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Support audits and assist in implementing and improving computerized calibration systems (CMMS).
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure equipment readiness.

What We’re Looking For

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Metrology, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • 3+ years of calibration or metrology experience in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of calibration standards, tools, and regulatory expectations.
  • Experience with CMMS and a variety of measurement instruments (e.g., multimeters, RTDs, pH meters, HPLCs).
  • Excellent attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across functions.

Salary: $80k-90k
