Role Overview

The Sales Development Representative here at Babble is responsible for new logo lead generation. This role entails finding and building and relationships with new prospects, introducing Babble as a trusted adviser. Our goal is to assist them on driving success for their own organisation through the successful application of cloud-based technologies.      

The SDR will play a vital role in initiating contact to new businesses and assist them in the transition to their account management, or business development colleagues who will manage and develop the opportunity through to closure. 

Sales Development Representatives at Babble grow into skilled commercial players and are action leaders when it comes to:  

  • Identifying target accounts 
  • Developing email and phone campaigns 

  • Engaging C-suite prospects 

  • Qualifying early-stage deals 

Key Responsibilities

As a SDR at Babble, you’ll be at the forefront of driving new business and expanding existing customer relationships. 

  • Lead Generation and Outreach 
  • Identify and engage new accounts aligned with our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). 

  • Execute targeted high activity outreach campaigns across email, phone, and social channels, tailored to specific industries, use cases, or product launches. 

  • Campaign Execution and Account Expansion 

  • Run focused campaigns for existing customers to uncover new opportunities. 

  • Respond to marketing signals and customer intent data to drive cross-solution sales and reduce churn risk. 

  • Pipeline Development 

  • Build a strong revenue pipeline by securing meetings with key decision-makers and influencers. 

  • Conduct initial qualification calls to assess needs, pain points, and buying intent. 

  • Collaboration and Handover 

  • Work closely with Account Managers and New Business sellers to ensure seamless handover of qualified leads and maintain strong customer engagement. 

  • Team Contribution and Innovation 

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment by taking initiative, experimenting with new approaches, and sharing successful strategies with your team. 

Key Measures of Success 

  • Achievement of Sales Qualified Leads  

Skills Required 

  • A passion for technology and software sales, 1-2 years of customer facing experience is preferred. A sound work ethic with a motivation to succeed, who is a strong team player 

  • Superior communication skills (both written and oral) and comfortable presenting and speaking to senior-level executives. 

  • Outstanding organisational skills with a sense of urgency and ability to manage time and prioritize tasks. 

  • A key interest to understand current and emerging technology trends and their application to client business goals. 

  • Ability to develop strong, long-lasting relationships (both internal and external). 

  • Action orientated, showing resourcefulness to achieve results. 

  • Collaborative and coachable mindset - you should be excited about continuously improving your skills and impact
