Job Overview
Our client, a Software Development organization operating in the FinTech sector, is seeking a qualified Lawyer who will also assume the role of Data Protection Officer (DPO), acting as a key legal advisor to senior stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Provide legal guidance on commercial, corporate, IT, software, and regulatory matters
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and corporate documentation
Advise management on agreements including employment, suppliers, NDAs, software licensing, and managed services
Oversee and manage data protection compliance across the organisation in the capacity of DPO
Act as the main contact for data protection authorities and data subject matters
Support international expansion and ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Coordinate with external counsel and foreign legal advisors when required
Candidate Profile
Fully qualified lawyer with 4+ years’ experience in private practice or in-house
Strong commercial mindset and communication skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership
Fluency in English required (additional EU language an asset)
Nice to have:
Experience in payments, insurance, or ESG
