Lead Frontend Engineer (3 month contract)

At Bilue, we build digital products that matter. As a Lead Front End Engineer, you will step into a high performing consultancy team and play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our React based delivery.

This is more than hands on development. You will lead from the front, guiding architectural decisions, uplifting engineering standards and ensuring we deliver elegant, scalable and accessible solutions for some of Australia’s most recognised brands.

You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers and backend engineers to bring bold ideas to life, with a strong focus on usability, performance and clean, maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of responsive, accessible and interactive user interfaces using React and modern front end practices
• Provide architectural direction and technical guidance across the React codebase
• Set the standard for clean, modular and maintainable code in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Drive performance, scalability and cross browser compatibility
• Contribute to and evolve design systems and reusable component libraries
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing and technical discussions
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless end to end delivery
• Continuously improve tooling, workflows and development practices
• Support Agile delivery with strong client collaboration and rapid iteration
