INTRODUCTION
As a key member of our Product Team, your mission as UI/UX Lead is to lead, mentor and guide our UI/UX designers as well as collaborating with other functions. In your role, you will get in touch with a variety of stakeholders, product owners, engineers and people from the leadership. In this highly collaborative role, you'll combine strong communication and strategic thinking with expertise in prototyping, interaction design, and visual design to create exceptional user journeys. Your leadership will shape the direction of our Product Design Guild, ensuring the product is functional, intuitive, visually captivating, and aligned with our broader business vision. Together with our Heads in Product and Engineering, you are ensuring strategic alignment and contribute in giving strategic guidance to all P&D teams.
Your responsibilities:
Lead Product Designer (70%)
Leadership: Lead key design projects, ensuring alignment with stream goals and customer problems
Hands-on: Drive results with hands-on leadership when necessary, managing resources efficiently
Quality Control: Establish high-quality standards and brand-alignment within the teams
Strategy Alignment: Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ensure all work aligns with the product vision and strategy
Coordination: Plan and coordinate design work, oversee team rituals, and ensure timely delivery
Visibility: Keep design work visible and documented through Jira
Standards: Ensure all designs improve user experience and meet accessibility standards
People Manager (30%)
Mentorship: Offer guidance, feedback, and support for designers' growth
Career Development: Help define career paths and development frameworks
Team Culture: Foster collaboration, respect, and cross-functional teamwork
Autonomy: Provide the team with clear purpose and tools to work effectively and autonomously while ensuring knowledge is being shared across all team members
