Job Overview

Make your mark as Worksmanager for Boskalis Subsea Cables located in Papendrecht, Netherlands. The Works Manager for Boskalis Subsea Cables plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation of subsea cables, which are integral to offshore wind farms and other marine projects. This role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of cable installation, from retrieval and storage to loading, installation, and final testing. The Works Manager is responsible for coordinating with various teams, managing equipment, and ensuring that all operations meet project requirements and quality standards.

Your responsibilities as Worksmanager:

  • Responsible for the technical and operational planning and management of the execution of the project on the physical works and/or on site.
  • Ensuring timely deployment of resources: equipment, site office, materials and services.
  • Incorporating daily and future circumstances into the operational plan Informing relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitoring contractual agreements and advising Project Manager in case of any deviations.
  • Monitoring operational/executional performance of the project and actively striving for optimal result.
  • Providing input to tendering and project engineering and monitoring the selected engineered solutions.
  • Ensuring a safe work environment and ensuring employees and subcontractors are properly briefed with regards to project and company safety requirements and behaviour.
  • Contributing to the development, implementation and maintenance of departmental policies, procedures and processes.
  • Managing reports on site and/or physical works: appraising performance and continuously developing.

Your Qualities and Qualifications

You can make your mark as Worksmanager if you have: 

  • Higher Professional Education (Bachelor).
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in a maritime project environment.
  • Experience with contractual agreements and international maritime QHSE standards.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
  • To show leadership and commitment to ensure a healthy and safe place of work and to prevent a negative impact on the environment by adhering to the relevant QHSE procedure.
  • Advanced skills in ICT Office.
  • You’re willing to work on location for up to six weeks at a time, followed by up to four weeks’ leave.
