CAD Engineer

You can make your mark as a CAD Engineer for Boskalis Offshore Energy. In this position, you are up for a challenge. You work on outstanding “one of a kind” projects with great impact.
As a CAD engineer at Boskalis, you work on all sorts of internationally oriented projects. You are curious, keep asking questions, remain critical, and collaborate intensively with Structural, Marine Transport and Project engineers. Overall, a very versatile and challenging role. 

Your responsibilities as a CAD Engineer:

• Create and/or optimize basic & detailed 3D models and/or 2D drawings, offshore construction, and offshore operations related.
• Design (including first estimate of construction dimensions, quantities, and weld specifications) of simple steel structures based on technical specifications and project plan.
• Assisting in creating and/or optimizing storyboards by means of visualizations/animations to support working methods, give insights into processes, constructions, and operational procedures, for internal and/or external use.
• Supporting in all phases of projects.
• Ensure that all work carried out follows internally agreed CAD standards, company safety, quality, environmental and procedural standards.

Your qualities
You can make your mark as a CAD Engineer if you have:

• A few years of relevant work experience as a CAD Engineer or Draftsman.
• Preferably a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experience with and knowledge of CAD Software.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
