As a Senior HR Officer, you are a key member of the HR team and take ownership of the day-to-day HR operations. This is a broad, hands-on role for an experienced HR professional who is proactive, highly organized, accurate, and able to work independently in a dynamic international environment.

Based at our Head Office in Papendrecht, you support the Global HR Manager and the HR Manager Africa/Europe. Your scope includes the global organization, the international HQ population (approximately 65 employees), expatriates working worldwide, and providing support to HR colleagues in our regional offices.

You are responsible for ensuring that HR administration, payroll preparation, employee benefits administration, and HR processes are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and employment regulations. In addition, you act as a trusted point of contact for employees, managers, and external service providers and play an important role in maintaining and improving HR processes, systems, and data quality across the organization.

With your strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and structured approach, you ensure that HR operations run smoothly while continuously looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.

Your responsibilities
As a Senior HR Officer, you will:

  • Take ownership of HR administration and personnel processes throughout the entire employee lifecycle.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll preparation, employee benefits administration, and personnel data management.
  • Coordinate and support recruitment, onboarding, training administration, and other global HR processes.
  • Maintain HR systems, reporting, and documentation, ensuring data quality and compliance with internal policies and employment regulations.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employees, managers, HR colleagues, and external service providers.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes, systems, and service delivery.

You also have

  • HBO working and thinking level, preferably in HR, Business Administration, or a related field. Candidates with an MBO qualification and extensive relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • 5-8 years of experience in a broad HR Officer, HR Administrator, or HR Generalist role.
  • Experience with HR and payroll systems (preferably ADP Perman, AFAS and/or Workday).
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience in a multinational, high pace and dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in Dutch and a strong command of English, both written and spoken.
  • A proactive, hands-on, structured and service-oriented mindset.

Nice to have

  • Good command of French (written and spoken) is considered an advantage.
