Position Summary: 

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Product Manager to lead the Accounts Receivable (AR) automation strategy within our Paymode vendor network. This high-impact role will drive the product vision, roadmap, and market execution, ensuring seamless development, launch, and adoption of AR automation solutions. Additionally, this leader will evaluate buy/build/partner strategies, including strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and technology integrations to enhance our AR capabilities. 

The ideal candidate has a strong background in B2B payments, fintech, AR automation, and strategic partnerships, with the ability to align cross-functional teams, conduct market analysis, and deliver revenue-driving solutions. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Product Strategy & Roadmap 

  • Define and execute the product strategy for AR automation, aligning with business objectives and market needs. 
  • Own and drive the product roadmap, balancing innovation, customer needs, and competitive differentiation. 
  • Identify market opportunities, pain points, and emerging trends to ensure Paymode remains a leader in AR automation. 

Buy/Build/Partner Strategy & M&A 

  • Develop and lead a strategic framework for growth, assessing whether to build, buy, or partner to accelerate product innovation. 
  • Evaluate potential acquisitions, technology investments, and partnerships to enhance AR automation capabilities. 
  • Work with corporate development and finance teams to assess M&A opportunities, due diligence, and integration strategies. 
  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships with fintech providers, ERP platforms, and payment processors to expand market reach and feature capabilities. 

Cross-Functional Leadership 

  • Product Commercialization: Collaborate with go-to-market teams to drive pricing strategy, positioning, and sales enablement. 
  • Sales & Customer Success: Ensure sales teams have the training, tools, and messaging to drive adoption, and work with customer success to optimize onboarding and retention. 
  • Technology & Operations: Partner with engineering and operations to scale AI-driven cash application, invoicing, and reconciliation solutions. 
  • Executive Alignment: Communicate product strategy and performance metrics to senior leadership and key stakeholders. 

Market Research & Competitive Intelligence 

  • Conduct market research, customer interviews, and data analysis to inform pricing strategies, feature prioritization, and commercialization plans. 
  • Stay ahead of emerging fintech trends, regulations, and customer demands to refine the product vision. 
  • Develop business cases for investment in new technologies, partnerships, and expansion opportunities. 

Revenue Growth & Performance Tracking 

  • Establish key success metrics for AR automation adoption, revenue impact, and customer engagement. 
  • Optimize pricing models and feature monetization to maximize revenue potential. 
  • Continuously assess performance and refine strategies based on data-driven insights. 

 

Required Skills: 

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, or business leadership within B2B payments, fintech, or AR automation. 
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of accounts receivable workflows, payment networks, ERP integrations, and financial automation. 
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate complex financial processes into clear, actionable product and market strategies. 
  • Leadership & Influence: Strong ability to align cross-functional teams and drive execution in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Buy/Build/Partner Expertise: Experience in evaluating M&A, partnerships, and technology investments in fintech or payments. 
  • Market & Pricing Analysis: Experience in competitive analysis, market research, and pricing strategy development. 
  • Sales & GTM Collaboration: Proven ability to work closely with sales and marketing teams to drive adoption and revenue growth. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience leading M&A evaluations, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration 
  • Strong network and experience in B2B financial services, banking, or payments technology partnerships 
  • Background in SaaS-based payment platforms, AI-driven AR automation, or electronic invoicing 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelors degree in finance, business, or technology related field
