EmployeeJob Overview
Job Title: CMS Architect
About the Role:
We are looking for a seasoned CMS Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of modern content management solutions. This individual will play a pivotal role in defining the technical direction for our CMS platforms, with a strong focus on scalability, flexibility, performance, and integration across the digital ecosystem.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and DevOps teams to deliver robust, future-proof CMS solutions — ideally in a headless, cloud-native, and composable architecture environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and architect scalable and modular CMS solutions based on business requirements and digital strategy.
• Define and enforce CMS best practices, governance models, and development standards.
• Evaluate and recommend CMS platforms (headless/traditional) and tools based on business goals (e.g., Webiny, Contentful, AEM, Sitecore, Strapi, Sanity, etc.).
• Lead end-to-end implementation of CMS platforms, including content modeling, templating, API design, and integration with other systems (CRM, DAM, eCommerce, analytics, etc.).
• Drive the adoption of headless CMS architecture, API-first development, and microservices patterns.
• Collaborate with front-end and back-end teams to ensure seamless delivery of content across web, mobile, and other channels.
• Oversee CMS security, access control, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, accessibility standards).
• Provide technical mentorship and architecture oversight to development teams.
• Stay up to date on emerging CMS technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 8+ years of experience in software/web development, with 3+ years in CMS architecture or technical lead roles.
• Deep expertise in one or more modern CMS platforms (e.g., Webiny, Contentful, Strapi, Sitecore, AEM, Sanity, WordPress VIP, etc.).
• Strong understanding of headless CMS, serverless architecture, and cloud-native systems (preferably on AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in API design (REST, GraphQL), content modeling, and microservices integration.
• Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js, Vue.js) and their interaction with headless CMS backends.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and IaC tools.
• Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to collaborate across departments.
