Job Overview

The position entails the ability to plan, organize, coordinate, negotiate and control BW Energy Supply Chain activities in the country or region including but not limited to sourcing, procurement, and logistics. The Contracts and Commercial Specialist must ensure in a timely manner the execution of the Supply Chain process to be delivered such as:

 

·         Conduct and manage contracts negotiation in conjunction with Legal team;

·         Conduct marked surveys and analysis to obtain relevant information on potential suppliers, services, etc. to optimize Supply Chain process;

·         Manage all administration activities around the contracts lifecycle;

·         Support and execute commercial contract strategies;

·         Identify and research potential new suppliers;

·         Identify and share best practices with the team and the group;

·         Assist the Vendor Qualification (VQ) team to qualify new suppliers;

·         Facilitate the collection of data and information regarding the VQ process;

·         Work closely with other departments to support business development and market entry needs;

·         Maintain files stored in SharePoint and update Supply Chain reports;

·         Update all required systems to reflect the contracts accessibility;

·         Provide regular status and progress reporting;

·         Manage execution and call-out of agreements;

·         Manage and prepare bid processes, request, and manage the contracts for the purchase of materials and services;

·         Ensure compliance with Company Purpose & Principles, best practices, SC processes, procedures as well as applicable laws and regulations;

·         Contribute with ideas for improvement of best practices, processes and procedures;

·         Additional administrative assistance, as needed;

·         Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering with Procurement and/or HSEQ related major, or similar education;

·         Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, contract management, or supply chain, preferably in sectors such as the oil and gas industry or large-scale projects.

·         Long relevant experience may replace formal education.

·         Strong knowledge of best practice within Procurement scope and processes in the Upstream Oil & Gas Industry;

·         Basic knowledge of risk identification and management related to suppliers and commitments;

·         Basic knowledge of QA/QC evaluation of vendors and contractors including quality audits on vendors and contractors;

·         Strong research capabilities via various market platforms, search engines etc.;

·         Fluent in English (oral and written).
