We are looking for a Design Coordinator, who will work closely with the project and process teams under the guidance of the Project Manager or Operations Manager.
You are involved throughout the full lifecycle of projects — from tendering and engineering to execution, start-up, commissioning, and the guarantee phase until final acceptance.
In this multidisciplinary role, you coordinate design activities across civil, process, and electromechanical disciplines, ensuring technical consistency, effective collaboration between teams, and high-quality engineering deliverables.

In this multidisciplinary role, you coordinate design activities across civil, process, and electromechanical disciplines, ensuring technical consistency, effective collaboration between teams, and high-quality engineering deliverables.
Your Contribution
- Coordinate all technical design aspects of projects across civil, process, and electromechanical disciplines
- Plan and monitor design activities throughout all project phases, from tendering to commissioning
- Prepare and coordinate key process engineering documentation including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Flow & Mass Balances, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
- Contribute to process risk assessments and technical design reviews
- Propose preliminary layouts and hydraulic profiles for treatment installations
- Ensure technical coordination between civil works, process installations, and electromechanical equipment
- Identify and recommend main process equipment and instrumentation such as aeration systems, mixing systems, and control instrumentation
- Coordinate design interfaces between internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and engineering partners
- Follow up on engineering deliverables to ensure alignment with project planning and execution requirements
- Support technical coordination during start-up and commissioning phases
Your Profile
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Agricultural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in water treatment projects (wastewater, industrial water, or potable water) during tendering, engineering, execution, or commissioning phases
- Experience with biogas technologies is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering coordination (process, civil, and electromechanical systems)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic project environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a solution-oriented mindset
- Team player with the ability to guide and support technical discussions
- Willingness to undertake occasional short international assignments
- Fluent in English, Dutch, and French
