🏢This is a Hybrid role, working from our London (Moorgate) Offices 2 days per week.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Engineering Team Lead, you'll be the driving force behind a high-performing engineering team balancing strong technical leadership with hands-on development. You'll own the end-to-end delivery of software projects, partnering closely with Lead Engineers, Product Managers, and the Engineering Manager to set the bar for quality, collaboration, and engineering excellence.
What You'll Do
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, providing meaningful mentorship and constructive feedback that helps engineers grow
- Motivate, unblock, and hold the team accountable — keeping morale high and delivery on track
- Foster open, transparent communication across remote, hybrid, and in-person environments
- Stay hands-on in software development, leading by example at a technical level
- Establish and uphold coding standards and best practices across the team
- Collaborate with Tech Leads to ensure alignment on technical direction, architecture, and innovation
- Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and QA to align on strategy and turn ideas into well-executed outcomes
- Contribute to product decisions, bringing an engineering perspective that balances speed, quality, and scalability
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become blockers
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing and developing software engineers in a commercial environment
- A natural ability to lead cross-functional projects, working effectively with Product, QA, and other stakeholders
- Strong communicator who can bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences
- Extensive commercial experience with C# / .NET / .NET Core / React
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and Azure cloud development (cloud-first mindset essential)
- Proficient in SQL, with a strong commitment to code quality through comprehensive unit and integration testing
- Deep knowledge of modern software development practices and scalable system architecture

Interview Process 🤝
- First stage: 30 minute intro call with Talent Partner
- Second stage: 45 minute "Tech Chat" & Values Interview with an Engineering Manager & People Partner
- Third stage: 60 minute Code Pairing with our Engineering Team
- Final stage: 60 minute Case Study with Product & Engineering + 60 minute Good to Great Interview with our CTO (onsite)
