Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to design, develop, and optimize database-driven solutions that support critical business processes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle SQL/PLSQL development, database performance tuning, ETL pipelines, and Unix shell scripting, along with experience working in an Agile environment.

This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders and development teams to design scalable data solutions and ensure high data quality across Oracle and Vertica systems.

Work Allocation

  • Oracle PL/SQL / Shell / Python / Vertica: 70%

  • ETL Transformations (Informatica): 10%

  • Unix Shell Scripting & Python: 20%

Primary Skill

  • Oracle Database Development, Migration, and Database Testing

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience working with relational and non-relational databases, with a strong focus on Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.

  • Extensive experience developing Oracle data integration pipelines using SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix shell scripting.

  • Strong experience with PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and bulk processing.

  • Hands-on experience with Unix shell scripting (critical skill).

  • Experience working with job schedulers (Autosys preferred) to automate database processes.

  • Experience integrating heterogeneous databases such as Oracle and MS SQL Server.

  • Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, including star and snowflake schemas, facts, and dimensions.

  • Expertise in Oracle performance tuning using explain plans, indexing strategies, statistics, hints, and SQL optimization techniques.

  • Experience developing complex Oracle solutions used in APIs, reporting systems, and data warehouses.

  • Ability to perform POCs/spikes to test new Oracle features or solution approaches.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
