What will you do?
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by maintaining close communication with customers regarding the status of their shipments.
- Request shipment status updates from shipping lines, warehouses, and logistics service providers.
- Review, process, and manage documentation related to ocean freight shipments.
- Search for and validate ocean freight shipment references.
- Process and transmit shipment information through the corresponding operational platforms.
- Update internal operational reports and shipment records.
- Prepare cost estimations using CargoWise.
- Upload and approve supplier invoices through the Centro CFDI system.
- Follow up with suppliers to obtain pending invoices and supporting documentation.
- Process electronic invoices in the corresponding internal systems.
- Perform required Validacarga transmissions for ocean freight shipments.
- Update shipment milestones, including ETA, ETD, ATA, and ATD, within CargoWise.
- Maintain accurate shipment files and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
- Support the Operations team with day-to-day logistics coordination and administrative activities.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in Ocean Freight Operations, Logistics, Freight Forwarding or a related field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of international logistics and ocean freight operations.
- Experience using CargoWise or similar logistics software is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- Good command of English (written and spoken) is required, as you will communicate regularly with overseas offices, international agents, shipping lines, and global customers.
