Job Overview

About the Role

We are looking for a Social & Content Executive to support content creation, social media management and campaign execution across Mudah and Carousell's business verticals.

This is a hands-on role for someone who lives and breathes social media, keeps up with what's trending, has a good eye for what makes content fun and engaging, and isn't afraid to try something new. This role is expected to actively spot and act on trending moments as they happen, not just execute a pre-set calendar.

You'll work closely with the Assistant Manager, Brand & Social to bring content ideas to life, manage day-to-day social activities, and take ownership of your assigned content calendar and monthly performance — with plenty of opportunities to learn, experiment and grow your skills across content, social and campaigns.

Comfort being on camera is a requirement, as the role will involve livestreams, product showcases and other social content.

Key Responsibilities

Social Strategy & Content Planning

  • Support the development and upkeep of social media content calendars across Mudah (Auto, Property) and Carousell
  • Translate campaign briefs into engaging, platform-specific content
  • Bring ideas for trends, formats, captions and creative approaches based on audience behaviour and what's happening on social
  • Spot opportunities for fun, timely or cross-brand/vertical content moments
  • Support consistency of brand messaging and tone across social platforms
  • Take ownership of the assigned content calendar's execution — flagging gaps, delays, or content that needs rework proactively rather than waiting to be told

Trending & Ad-Hoc Content

  • Actively monitor trending topics, sounds, formats and internet culture daily, and proactively create and publish timely ad hoc content that fits the brand and moment
  • Treat trend response as a core part of the role, not an optional extra — jumping on relevant trends quickly is expected, not just reactive when prompted
  • Use social listening tools (e.g. Brandwatch) regularly to spot emerging trends, conversation shifts and content opportunities, rather than relying solely on the planned calendar

Content Development & Livestream

  • Support the planning, creation and publishing of content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and emerging platforms
  • Support livestream planning and execution, from content preparation and scripting to coordination and post-live activities
  • Be comfortable appearing on camera for livestreams, product showcases and social content
  • Work with internal teams, creators, agencies and production partners to bring content to life
  • Bring ideas for new content series, creator collaborations and social formats

Community & Social Engagement

  • Support day-to-day community engagement with timely, friendly and on-brand responses
  • Monitor audience conversations, trends and sentiment, and flag interesting opportunities or potential issues
  • Surface useful audience observations and insights to inform content and campaigns

Performance, Reporting & Insights

  • Track and report on social performance monthly against agreed KPIs (see below), across content, campaigns, livestreams and community engagement
  • Identify and share what's working, what isn't and what we could try next, using data rather than instinct alone
  • Take ownership of monthly reporting for assigned channels/scope, ready for review with the Assistant Manager, Brand & Social first, then shared with the wider marketing team

Campaign & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Support social content and execution across integrated marketing campaigns
  • Coordinate with Brand, Campaigns, Product, creators and agency partners on assigned deliverables
  • Support influencer and creator initiatives, including briefing, content review and performance tracking
  • Look for ways to make our social processes and content execution better, faster and more fun

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Performance will be reviewed monthly against the following, forming the basis of monthly check-ins and year-end review:

  • Follower growth — month-on-month increase across assigned platform(s)
  • Engagement rate — month-on-month increase in likes, comments, shares, and saves relative to reach
  • Video views — month-on-month increase in average and total video views
  • Trend responsiveness — number of ad hoc/trend-based content pieces published per month
  • Content calendar delivery — % of planned content delivered on time and to quality standard
