Role Purpose:
Provide strategic leadership of the Pricing & Supply Analytics team, ensuring its continued growth, innovation, and measurable impact on CarTrawler's commercial performance. This role is central to optimising and advancing our revenue management capabilities through data-driven insights, experimentation, and close integration with Data Science.
The Head of Pricing & Supply Analytics will:
· Define, refine, and execute holistic pricing and content strategies that balance the needs and goals of customers, partners, suppliers and CarTrawler.
· Deliver actionable insights to inform Heads of Trading and business leaders, ensuring strategies remain adaptive to market conditions and evolving business priorities.
· Partner with the Head of Data Science and Head of MLOps to evolve models, tools, and processes that embed advanced analytics into daily decision-making at scale.
· Extend revenue management frameworks into new products and ancillary services, ensuring CarTrawler builds future-ready capabilities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, inspire, and mentor a high-performing team, aligning goals with business strategy and fostering a culture of curiosity, ownership, and impact.
- Support career development through ongoing feedback & coaching while setting clear accountabilities for performance delivery.
- Revenue Management Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute holistic pricing strategies for core and ancillary products, driving sustainable revenue and profitability growth.
- Oversee content optimisation, including sort order, inclusion/exclusion of content, and balancing supplier incentives with long-term P&L objectives.
- Ensure strategies are implemented and maintained effectively within CarTrawler’s revenue management platform, with processes and alerting in place to maintain accuracy and scalability.
- Analytics & Insight
- Provide actionable insight through rigorous performance analysis, forecasting, and experimentation to refine pricing and content strategies.
- Implement A/B testing and controlled experiments to validate initiatives and quantify impact.
- Deliver transparent reporting and clear recommendations to P&L owners and executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment with commercial goals.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to refine pricing strategies and content management decisions.
- Capability Development
- Drive the evolution of CarTrawler’s revenue management tools and practices in collaboration with Data Science and MLOps.
- Support the design and operationalisation of advanced models that improve forecasting accuracy, dynamic pricing, and decision automation.
- Champion process improvements and innovation, embedding experimentation and advanced analytics into decision-making across the business.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Provide regular reports and updates on pricing and content performance to key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Align pricing and content strategies with business objectives, getting sign off from P&L owners and working closely with internal & external teams.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Min 5 years of experience in pricing strategy, revenue management, or supply optimization, preferably in the travel or eCommerce industry;
- Leadership: Ability to lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team, balancing deep domain expertise with career development and succession planning.
- Analytical Leadership & Adoption: Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large, complex data sets, interpret financial metrics, and apply statistical analysis and modelling. Proven track record of driving cultural adoption of advanced analytics and experimentation to embed data-driven decision-making across the business.
- Technical proficiency: Expertise in data analysis tools, such as SQL, Excel and data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) and history of reporting on and analysing financial metrics. Experience with Python a plus;
- Data Science Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Data Science teams on the design, evaluation, and operationalisation of advanced models for pricing and revenue management;
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans to optimize pricing and content;
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely on pricing and market trends, both internally and externally, and make strong, data-driven recommendations to P&L owners;
- Transformation/ change program design and leadership: Experience in designing and leading complex strategic programs, working with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver positive commercial outcomes against committed timelines.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and business priorities, with a flexible and agile mindset;
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Data Science and P&L owners, and external partners;
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in pricing and content management.
