Reports to: Head, Value Chain
Role Summary: The Relationship Manager is primarily responsible for managing clients and rendering advisory services to help them make the right decisions with their accounts, whilst explaining the Bank’s services/products on offer to them. In addition, he/she is expected to identify business opportunities and generate new business for the Bank.
Detailed Duties & Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of effective marketing strategies.
- Identifying new opportunities across Distributors, Suppliers, and Vendors (existing and prospective clients) in line with the Bank’s Risk Asset Acceptance Criteria (RAAC). Converting these opportunities into new accounts.
- Ensure repeat business by developing and sustaining professional relationships with key decision-makers of clients.
- Drive Collections across Corporate Anchors through distributors, suppliers, and vendors onboard.
- Carry out a yearly review of the client's operations by doing a Credit Appraisal for the consideration of the Management Credit Committee.
- Generate and manage the unit liability requirements to fund Risk Assets.
- To visit clients regularly and prepare call memos as evidence of calls (Factory and Facility tours inclusive).
- Ensure that clients meet their obligations promptly and that all documentation relating to transactions are in place.
- Gather information and market intelligence on issues relating to clients. Advise Management of any early warning signal on any exposure for early remedial action to be taken, if considered necessary.
- Liaise with other units to facilitate operations.
- Ensure client satisfaction throughout the Banks product usage.
- Market and monitor growth sales and profitability of value chains.
- Contribute to product development and fine-tuning of existing ones to meet market expectations.
- Identify and manage customer segments requiring value chain offerings.
- Introduce new value chain/ partnership relationships to support and enhance the Bank’s unique products.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Education: Minimum of a B.Sc. Degree
Experience: At least 4 - 7 years in a similar position
