Key responsibilities for IT Admin:
Introduction and Orientation:
Understanding the organization's IT infrastructure: Interns will be given a detailed overview of the organization's IT infrastructure, including the network architecture, server setup, software applications, and security measures in place.
Familiarization with IT policies and procedures: Interns will be introduced to the organization's IT policies and procedures, which may include data management, IT service management, and security protocols.
Introduction to the IT team and key personnel: Interns will meet the IT team members and key personnel they will be working with. This includes system administrators and network engineers.
Networking:
Basics of networking: Interns will learn about the basics of networking, including understanding IP addresses, subnets, routers, switches, and more. They will also learn about network protocols and how data is transferred over a network.
Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and monitoring tools: Interns will gain practical experience using network troubleshooting tools like ping, traceroute, and Wireshark, and network monitoring tools.
Hardware and Software:
Understanding server and client hardware components: Interns will learn about different server and client hardware components, such as CPUs, memory, storage devices, and network interfaces.
Installation and configuration of operating systems and software: Interns will get hands-on experience installing and configuring various operating systems and software applications.
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues: Interns will learn how to diagnose and resolve common hardware and software issues.
Security:
Basics of IT security: Interns will learn about the basics of IT security, including understanding firewalls, VPNs, encryption, and more. They will also learn about common security threats and how to protect against them.
Introduction to security policies and procedures: Interns will be introduced to the organization's security policies and procedures, which may include password policies, access control, and incident response.
Hands-on experience with security tools and software: Interns will gain practical experience using security tools and software, such as antivirus software, intrusion detection systems, and encryption tools.
