Job Overview

We’re excited to share a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us as a Resource Controller within our Capital Works Team.


Location: Office based, Dereham.


Role Responsibilities

As our Resource Controller (Capital Works), you’ll play a vital role in coordinating multiple trades to ensure Capital Works projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with our performance targets. Working closely with the Capital Works Manager and Lead Operative, you’ll plan work against demand, manage the day‑to‑day coordination of operatives, and help maximise productivity while minimising downtime. A key part of your role is ensuring an excellent customer experience, keeping our tenants informed and supporting the smooth delivery of works across our homes. You’ll contribute to delivering our values by making confident decisions, supporting the flow of work, and helping the wider team achieve strong outcomes for customers and communities.


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Educated to GCSE level

  • Experience in resource management or coordinating work for teams with varying shift patterns

  • Strong communication and listening skills, with the confidence to propose ideas and solutions

  • Ability to make effective decisions under pressure

  • Competence with Microsoft applications, including Outlook and Teams

  • Ideally, experience in the social housing sector and a good understanding of building and construction environment
