Role Overview

The inspector will carry out direct visual testing (VT) on structural welds associated with a main condenser located in a turbine hall environment. Inspection locations may vary depending on site progress and operational constraints.

The primary objective is to perform thorough visual examinations of welds and accurately document inspection results.

Please note that access conditions can be challenging, including work at height, scaffolding, and confined or narrow spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspection of structural welds

  • Produce clear and accurate inspection reports

  • Apply relevant acceptance criteria and dispositions

Applicable Standards & Documentation

  • NCR dispositions

  • Manufacturing specifications for acceptance criteria

  • Relevant NDT codes and standards

Requirements

  • VT Level 2 certification (COFREND) in accordance with ISO 9712

  • Fluent English (spoken and written)

  • Ability to work in constrained and industrial environments

Organisation & Contract Details

  • Operates under the supervision of the site quality team

  • 3-month contract, renewable

  • Full-time engagement
