Pipefitter - Lead Hand

CEDA is looking to hire a Pipefitter - Lead Hand for one of our client sites

Candidates must be local to the Bonnyville or Cold Lake area

What we offer:

• Rate: $54.00 / hour
• Shift 4 on 3 off with 10 hour days

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install new mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, air dryers, converters, heat exchangers, relief valves, pressure-reducing valves, condensate tanks, recirculation pumps, booster pumps, pneumatic controls, coils, isolation valves, 3-way valves, condensate traps)
• Fit up and prepare piping requiring welded joints
• Liaise and collaborate with other trades, consultants and suppliers
• Cleans condensate traps and equipment strainers
• Provides occasional guidance to the primary function of others, including training.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements
• Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
• Thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
• Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
• Test system for leaks using testing equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Role Specifications

• Journeyman status required
• valid driver's license (NO GDL) with no more than 4 demerits in last 3 years)
• Experience working in industrial plant setting
• H2S Alive, CSTS 2020 or CSO and First Aid required
• Confined Space entry, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform are considered assets
• Must provide negative Drug & Alcohol result from CEDA booked testing
