Class 1 or 3 Driver/Operator, Pressure & Vacuum

CEDA is currently seeking Driver/Operators with Class 1 or 3 for our Pressure and Vacuum division at the Calgary/Carseland, AB location!

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain vacuum trucks, high pressure water equipment and various specialty tools
• 90% of your day is outside of the truck, boots on the ground!
• Work safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labor intensive capacity
• Climb safely into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment – our experienced crew has your back
• Ensure safety for all team members and property
• Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
• Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Learn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipment
• Complete required paperwork for unit pre-trip, inspections, job reports and safety documents
• Challenge your eye for detail, practice what we preach. Take your time, get the job done right the first time and safely every time
• Provide guidance to Laborers as required
• Strictly observe and enforce all company and client safety requirements

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 1 or 3 licence with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is required
• Driving is in your nature, a manual transmission is a breeze (10, 13 speed, doesn’t matter you will pass CEDA’s driver assessment with flying colours)
• 1+ years of operator experience in an industrial environment (pressure and vacuum experience an asset)
• CSTS-09 , BSO or CSO certification required
• Confined Space, Fall Protection and First Aid certification an asset but not required, we will train you!
• H2S Alive an asset
• Able to provide a negative result on pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Able to travel to shop location in Carseland

• Safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
• Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
• Enjoy working outdoors the majority of the time in varied weather conditions
