You will join the Procurement and Industrial Services Group (PI), the central unit responsible for procuring all supplies and services for the organisation. As a Procurement Professional in the Supplies (SU) section, you will participate in the new ERP implementation project and Source to Contract (S2C) project, as well as the procurement of software.
Your responsibilities:
- Participate in the new ERP implementation Project.
- Participate in specific procurements for supply and IT contracts and license agreements, including conducting price inquiries and invitations to tender, negotiating terms, and placing orders and contracts.
- Provide regular reports to management on procurement progress.
Your profile:
You have experience in the following areas:
- Drafting of commercial documents for a supply/IT contract or a license agreement.
- Defining procurement strategies.
- Sourcing new suppliers.
- Communication and negotiation.
- Managing and following up commercial aspects of contracts, including critical examination and detailed analysis of commercial offers.
Skills:
- Experience and knowledge of procurement of supply IT/contracts and /or license agreements.
- Good communication, able to challenge constructively, adapt to feedback, and persuade others of your point of view.
- Able to supporting the negotiation team in commercial, technical, and contractual negotiations.
- Able to deal with ambiguity and conflict.
- Spoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French.
Eligibility criteria:
- You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
- You have a professional background in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics (or a related field) and have either:
- a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;
- or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
