Business Development Manager
fulltime_permanent mid_levelJob Overview
Location: London / Hybrid (3 days per week in Hammersmith office)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours Monday to Friday
Why this role matters
At Brook Green Supply, we are a leading independent B2B energy supplier, committed to driving the transition to a sustainable energy future. We reshape the market by providing expert supply contracts, risk management services, and data-driven insights to some of GB’s most complex energy consumers.
This role is fundamental to our growth strategy. You’ll be instrumental in sourcing and securing new high-value accounts, building long-term relationships, and shaping how we deliver our energy supply solutions in a fast-evolving market.
If you’re someone with a solid grounding in the UK energy market, excellent commercial instincts, and the drive to win major accounts then this role could be for you.
What you’ll do
You’ll lead the charge in expanding our footprint among large-consumption energy users and ensuring the entire sales pipeline from opportunity to contract is managed with professionalism, strategy and customer focus.
Acquire and onboard high-consumption energy accounts: target clients with energy usage in the ~25 GWh to 100 GWh range (both electricity and gas) and bring them into Brook Green Supply as key customers.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, brokers, managing agents and account managers — ensuring trust, clarity and value delivery.
Lead, coordinate and manage complex tender processes from initial enquiry through to deal acceptance: guiding bids, negotiating terms, and securing contracts that align with our growth and customer-value objectives.
Craft and execute growth strategies that balance financial gain with customer satisfaction and retention.
Research and identify new business opportunities — new markets, growth segments, trends, products or services — and develop creative ways to reach existing or adjacent markets.
Generate leads through prospecting, cold-calling, business meetings and effective pipeline management.
Work with the Trading Desk and commercial teams to determine pricing, deal structures and propositions that optimise growth and margin.
Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on account performance, pipeline health, revenue growth, contract renewals, churn risk and opportunities for further development.
