Product Docs and Information Experience Team Lead

***This position is based in Bulgaria with hybrid working options. Applicants must have a work/residence permit for the respective location.***

The Product Documentation TL oversees the development, quality, and strategy of product documentation across the Chaos product portfolio, as well as information experience for core products across the AEC industry.

Main Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead, mentor, and support the documentation team, fostering professional growth, collaboration, and continuous learning.

  • Conduct annual performance reviews, prepare individual and team growth plans, and promote a culture of openness, feedback, and cross-functional cooperation.

  • Plan and prioritize workloads, allocate tasks effectively, and ensure documentation is aligned with release schedules and product milestones.

  • Partner with Product Management, Development, QA, UX, Support, and Dev Collaboration teams to anticipate documentation needs and prepare for upcoming releases.

  • Define, communicate, and maintain the documentation strategy and long-term vision, ensuring alignment with Chaos’ product and business objectives.

Content Development & Quality

  • Guide the creation of clear, accurate, and user-focused documentation for all Chaos products — from installation guides and how-tos to advanced workflows and feature descriptions.

  • Review and edit technical content when necessary to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to Chaos’ style and information architecture standards.

  • Supervise the creation of support materials, tutorials, and visual content (including 3D visualizations) for product documentation that enhance product understanding and adoption.

  • Identify gaps or improvement areas in existing content, driving continuous quality improvement and innovation in documentation practices.

Process & Infrastructure

  • Maintain and evolve the information architecture in Confluence Cloud, ensuring scalability, logical organization, and ease of access across products and teams.

  • Oversee Confluence administration (staging and production), including testing and updating macros and plugins, to maintain system stability.

  • Own and continuously improve the internal technical writing guidelines, documentation workflows, and release processes to support efficiency and consistency.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure documentation processes are integrated into product development cycles and release pipelines.

  • Support in-product tooltip writing planning to ensure consistent information experience across different product-related touchpoints.
