What You Will Do

The Learner, Fulfillment & Logistics will support the Fulfillment, Logistics, and Transportation teams by executing critical day-to-day operational tasks that ensure customer orders move efficiently through the supply chain. This role provides hands-on experience across transportation, customer order fulfillment, warehouse operations, and logistics coordination, with a primary focus on coordinating customer pickup (CPU) shipments, booking LTL freight, managing shipping documentation, and maintaining accurate system records. 

This position is ideal for an individual looking to build a career in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or Operations. The Learner, Fulfillment & Logistics will work closely with customers, carriers, warehouses, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), and internal stakeholders to support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiative. Due to business needs, this individual must be available to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM CT.

Responsibilities

Transportation & Customer Pickup Coordination

  • Customer Pickup (CPU) Management 
    • Monitor customer pickup orders and proactively obtain routing instructions from customers.
    • Coordinate shipment appointments between customers, carriers, and warehouse partners.
    • Create, distribute, and maintain Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping documentation.
    • Ensure customer routing requirements are communicated accurately to warehouse partners.
    • Track shipment readiness, pickup appointments, and delivery status.
    • Escalate delayed routing requests, missed pickups, and transportation exceptions.
    • Maintain accurate shipment status updates across internal systems and customer portals.  
  • LTL Freight Management 
    • Book and coordinate LTL shipments using approved transportation providers.
    • Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and warehouse partners.
    • Track shipments and proactively resolve transportation issues.
    • Monitor freight movement to support on-time pickup and delivery performance.
    • Assist with freight cost tracking and transportation record maintenance.
  • Shipment Visibility & Communication
    • Utilize transportation management systems, warehouse portals, and carrier websites to monitor shipment activity.
    • Provide shipment status updates and communicate transportation exceptions to internal stakeholders.
    • Support transportation issue resolution through coordination with carriers, customers, and warehouses. 

Fulfillment & Order Management Support 

  • Order Management:  
    • Upload non-EDI customer purchase orders into NetSuite and 3PL fulfillment portals as well as internal files.
    • Reconcile NetSuite with 3PL fulfillment portals to ensure customer orders are accurately uploaded and prioritized.
    • Ensure third-party logistics providers (3PLs) adhere to established procedures by verifying daily order readiness, proactively following up on delays, and escalating or resolving at-risk orders through internal channels.
    • Monitor internal systems to verify order integrity, ensuring accuracy in pricing, item setup, change order processing, and the prevention of duplicate entries.
  • Order Fulfillment:  
    • Support weekly internal customer order prioritization discussions with key stakeholders by conducting inventory availability analyses.
    • Support replenishment analyst for club planning volumes, tracking shipment statuses for pick up.
    • Collaborate with other internal team members on the customer return process, from the time customers reach out about returns to the time inventory arrives back at the warehouse.   
    • Update Point of Manufacture detail for 3PL Inventory weekly ensuring FSMA compliance.
  • Reporting, Analysis & Administrative Support
    • Maintain accurate transportation and fulfillment data within ERP, TMS, and warehouse systems.
    • Prepare recurring reports related to shipment performance, customer pickups, OTIF, freight spend, order cuts, and transportation metrics.
    • Create and maintain shipment trackers, issue logs, and operational dashboards.
    • Assist with freight invoice reconciliation and transportation-related audits.
    • Support analyses related to transportation costs, service performance, and fulfillment operations.
    • Assist with development and maintenance of SOPs, process documentation, and training materials.
    • Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives across fulfillment and logistics operations. 

Who You Are

  • Prior experience in the 3PL warehousing or fulfillment industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & other Microsoft Suite. Power BI experience is a plus.
  • Significant attention to detail, intellectually curious, investigative, and highly analytical.
  • Outstanding time management skills with demonstrated success of managing multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Outstanding communication (both verbal and written) and relationship management skills.
  • Willingness to work in a fast paced environment that includes frequent pivots and quick problem solving.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time or as often as business needs.

Pay Range Opportunity:

  • The pay range for this role is $20 - $25 per hour
  • Weekly hours required: 20 - 28 hours 
  • This is a part-time 6 month temporary, non-exempt position with potential opportunity for extension and/or to turn into full-time opportunity based on business needs

Compensation Philosophy & Total Comp:

  • Our pay ranges are based on verified market data and our philosophy of paying competitively for our size and industry
  • Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company
  • In addition to hourly wage, our Learners also receive 401K 6% match and monthly reimbursements for wellness and home office.
