We are looking for a Civil Designer, Land Development to join and grow our dynamic Infrastructure team in Calgary. You will work closely with our local team of professionals, in a variety of functions, delivering projects including municipal infrastructure, roadway and drainage designs for both our public and private sector clients.
You will have the opportunity to take part in our hybrid work model which includes flexible work hours, working from home and in any of our offices in Calgary, Edmonton and Saskatoon.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work closely with project engineers and senior technical staff in carrying out and reporting on technical tasks requiring data collection, accuracy in calculations, completeness of data and adherence to prescribed standards and methods
- Create and modify CAD drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D software.
- Develop 3D models and contribute to digital assets for a variety of infrastructure projects.
- Prepare site grading plans, underground sewer and watermain layouts, as well as erosion & sediment management plans. Support construction teams with earthworks volume analysis, and material balance modeling. Assist stormwater teams with overland, and minor-system models and drawings.
- Adhere to quality control workflows and processes to ensure consistent quality deliverables
- Communicate professionally with clients to create, update and issue construction documents for local developments
- Comply with and contribute to a standardized and organized file management structure. that
- Coordinate with other discipline engineers and technologists as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ensure drafting standards meet current design and Client standards, guidelines and other requirements.
