JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

  • Implementing product supply strategies
  • Managing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Cost management
  • Quality assurance of our components/finished products
  • Driving Value Analysis and Value Engineering

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Cost management related activities from concept to PPAP to deliver parts at the right quality, total cost, and meet timelines. They accomplish this through collaboration with various functional areas like packaging, transportation, business resources, supply chain, etc,.
  • Extensive use of Teamcenter and Workflow process to collaborate with Engineering , Supplier Development engineer and identify the supplier source for each Buy level parts.
  • Escalate supplier quality defects to SDEs for an immediate containment
  • Implementing product supply strategies aligned with the category management supply strategies that will create a competitive advantage for our customers by developing, optimizing, and integrating a world-class supply network.
  • Managing the quality feedback loops to ensure lessons learned on quality defects are applied across the supply base.
  • Driving Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) through cost modeling, design for manufacturability, and leveraging suppliers’ capabilities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2+ years' experience with bachelor's in engineering degree preferred, Mechanical, Industrial, and Supply Chain Engineer degrees

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, formulas, and technical reports.
  • Experience with 3D modeling tools, including Creo.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production methods.
  • Experience using Teamcenter for product lifecycle and workflow management.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to perform Should-Cost Analysis and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
