JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:
- This is a design engineer role for hydraulics and hydraulic component installation and routings supporting rigid frame truck projects & programs.
- These projects and programs are mainly related to the large mining truck product value streams and include current product improvements for field and factory support as well as new product development.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Typical tasks include design within Creo to develop solutions for issue resolution and product development
- Leverage analytical skills to assess root cause and potential solutions
- Ability to turn requirements into an effective, functioning design
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Years of experience: 3-5 years
- Degree requirement: Mechanical Engineering degree
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Experience in mechanical design, Understands large equipment assembly and hydraulic component integration, Issue resolution
- CAD modeling
- Skilled in design and evaluation of cost
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Understanding of hydraulic components and hydraulic systems
- Hydraulic schematic knowledge
- Prior 3D aided hose & tube routing
- Mining or construction machine design
