JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:
- The primary role is to research, design, and evaluate the functionality, performance, and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducting research and feasibility studies on mechanical systems and components.
- Designing and developing mechanical products and equipment.
- Preparing detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Reading, interpreting, and applying information from blueprints and schematics.
- Overseeing installation, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
- Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues to improve performance.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical solutions into larger systems.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 1–4 years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a Science field (Engineering preferred); Associate degree considered with experience
- Internship experience accepted
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- CAD software (PTC Creo preferred)
- Basic GD&T knowledge
- Strong communication and problem-solving mindset
- Required: Basic drawing layouts
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Teamcenter software, ASME standards
