In this frontline role, you’ll monitor beach and ocean conditions, provide preventative lifesaving services, respond to incidents and emergencies, and promote safe swimming practices across the City’s beaches.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Monitor beach and surf conditions, identify hazards and maintain patron safety
• Perform rescues, provide first aid and respond to emergency incidents
• Promote beach safety, including safe swimming practices and hazard awareness
• Support compliance with relevant beach laws, regulations and policies
• Maintain beach safety equipment and report hazards, damage or unsafe practices
• Complete incident records, daily reports and liaise with emergency and marine safety groups as required
