Job Overview

You’ll play an important role in supporting women and children who are escaping domestic violence, experiencing homelessness and/or facing crisis. Based at the Stirling Women’s Centre, you’ll help create a safe, supportive and empowering environment where clients can access services, build independence and work towards their goals.

This is a hands-on, community-focused role where you’ll provide practical, emotional and crisis support, while also contributing to the day-to-day running of the Centre. The position is rostered for one Saturday shift and two weekday afternoon shifts per week, with flexibility required for additional hours, weekends, public holidays or relief shifts as needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support women and families experiencing crisis. 
  • Provide emotional support and crisis intervention. 
  • Assist with safety and housing planning.
  • Facilitate meaningful activities for families. 
  • Engage children through age-appropriate activities. 
  • Maintain accurate records and customer data. 
  • Support Centre duties, safety and cleanliness. 
  • Liaise with agencies and government departments.

The working roster for this role are: 
(Saturday: 11.30am to 8.30pm, Monday: 5.30pm to 8.30pm, Tuesday: 5.30pm to 8.30pm)
