Accountant

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for comprehensive bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records. You will prepare financial reports, assist in audits, and ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements. This role is crucial for supporting our financial operations and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily bookkeeping tasks by entering accounting data into the electronic system accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and record-keeping of vouchers, bills, invoices, debit/credit notes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Prepare and present various Management Information System (MIS) reports tailored to business needs.
• Compile supporting documentation for tax filings and ensure accurate and timely submission of returns.
• Generate necessary reports and data to facilitate timely tax payments and compliance.
• Assist in audit preparations, as well as in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Conduct thorough analysis and reconciliation of accounts with banks, debtors, and creditors to maintain financial integrity.
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations, promoting best practices in financial reporting.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CA (Intermediate) is a plus.
• 3-5 years of hands-on accounting experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of financial principles.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software, with a knack for financial data analysis.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
