The Project Manager is accountable for the end-to-end control, execution, and financial performance of assigned plumbing and HVAC projects across both construction and service departments.
This role ensures projects are authorized, planned, executed, monitored, and closed in a disciplined and repeatable manner, replacing informal coordination and reactive problem-solving with structured project management, documented controls, and measurable outcomes.

Core Responsibilities
- Enforcing standardized project lifecycle stages
- Conducting disciplined project kickoffs before work begins
- Maintaining project plans, schedules, and execution controls
- Ensuring projects are properly closed financially and operationally
- Monitoring job cost performance against budget
- Managing labor productivity and material usage
- Identifying scope changes promptly
- Ensuring all changes are documented, priced, approved, and billed
- Maintaining change order logs and aging visibility
- Developing and maintaining project schedules
- Coordinating execution with the Construction Director and Service Director
- Aligning labor and material readiness with project timelines
- Serving as the single point of accountability for assigned projects
- Providing accurate, timely project updates to operations leadership
- Escalating risks and constraints before they become failures
- Maintaining complete and accurate project documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical contracting
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects
- Proven accountability for job cost and schedule performance
- PMP® or PMP-equivalent project management training preferred
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
- Construction management, engineering, or equivalent experience
- Structured project planning and execution
- Financial and job cost awareness
- Strong written and verbal communication
