Position Summary
As a vital member of our executive leadership team, the General Sales Manager drives revenue, oversees the daily sales operations, manages customer relations for automotive, residential, and commercial film services and oversees the Accounting and Human Resources functions. They lead the sales team, handle B2B accounts, ensure high customer satisfaction, and coordinate closely with the Operations Team for seamless scheduling and profitability.
Roles & Responsibilities
Sales
- Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth: Set sales targets, manage the sales pipeline, and close high-value B2B and consumer deals (auto, residential, and commercial film).
- Customer Education & Consultations: Assist walk-in customers and inbound callers, educating them on the benefits of various tint films, heat rejection, and ceramic coatings.
- Team Management: Hire, train, and mentor a team of inside Customer Service Advisors (CSAs).
- Estimate Management: Oversee the Flat-Glass operations including on-site estimates for residential and commercial flat-glass projects and the generation of accurate quotes.
- Operations & Scheduling: Coordinate with the CSAs and the Operations team to schedule installations, manage shop capacity, and optimize workflow.
- Marketing & Promotions: Develop local marketing strategies, manage social media inquiries, and leverage customer reviews to drive local business.
Multi-State Safety & Legal Compliance
- Risk & Liability Shielding: Audit the deployment of digital Pre-Installation Inspection Forms and liability waivers to ensure 100% protection against fraudulent vehicle or property damage claims.
- OSHA & Facility Safety: Manage all Safety Data Sheets (SDS), enforce proper hazardous material/chemical disposal guidelines, mandate PPE usage, and document all safety compliance training.
- Insurance Coordination: Act as the primary liaison for annual commercial liability, workers' compensation, and garage-keepers insurance audits to preserve perfect safety ratings and low premiums.
Financial Controls & Bookkeeping Operations (Excluding Taxes)
- Daily Accounting Management: Oversee the Accounting function including Receivable (A/R) lifecycle for commercial storefront projects and high-volume automotive dealership fleets.
Human Resources
- People Management: Oversee the Human Resources function including hiring, onboarding, benefits administration, employee evaluations, and compliance.
Pay Systems
- Commission & Flat-Rate Tracking: Partner with accounting to oversee commission structures, hourly flat-rates, and performance bonuses, ensuring tech pay is accurately logged and tracked.
Accountabilities & Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
The accountabilities are the important functions that the Company depends on you doing well in a timely and efficient manner. The KPI’s are some of the ways we will measure your performance of these duties.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in the automotive aftermarket, flat glass, or window tinting industry.
- Deep product knowledge of automotive window film, Paint Protection Film (PPF), and commercial/residential glass films is a major plus.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Point-of-Sale (POS) and CRM software.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Kansas City metropolitan area, with the ability to routinely travel between our Overland Park, Lee's Summit, and Independence locations.

- May be required to work overtime and on weekends.
