Dermatologist - Outpatient Practice - Suwanee - Metro Atlanta, GA
Full-timeJob Overview
Dermatologist — Outpatient Practice
About the Opportunity
A growing outpatient medical practice is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Dermatologist to join its established multi-specialty team. This opportunity allows you to serve an existing patient base with immediate dermatology needs while also building and expanding a dermatology subspecialty within a supportive clinical environment.
This position is ideal for a dermatologist seeking a long-term career home with the entrepreneurial freedom to develop a thriving service line. You will have access to a steady stream of internal referrals, strong administrative support, and resources to attract new patients from the surrounding community.
Position Details
Practice Scope & Patient Care
The role includes providing comprehensive medical dermatology services with optional expansion into cosmetic dermatology. You will evaluate and treat general dermatologic conditions, perform skin cancer screenings, biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and other standard outpatient procedures.
You will initially care for existing patients referred from the internal primary care team, with opportunities to grow your patient panel externally as well. The patient population skews toward middle-aged adults and includes a mix of commercial insurance and Medicare.
Practice Development Opportunity
This position provides autonomy to shape and grow a dermatology service within an existing medical practice. You may influence treatment protocols, service offerings, and strategic growth plans. Internal referrals will provide immediate volume, and marketing support can help establish the dermatology service as a regional resource.
Work Schedule & Life Balance
Flexible scheduling options are available, including:
• Four clinical days plus one administrative day
• 4.5 clinical days with a half administrative day
• Monday–Friday, standard daytime hours
There are no weekends, no hospital rounds, and no on-call responsibilities.
Work Environment & Support
You will work in a modern, well-equipped outpatient setting with designated dermatology space. Nursing staff support includes triage, prior authorizations, and care coordination, allowing you to focus on patient care. The practice invests in marketing efforts and operational support to help grow your dermatology panel.
Technology & Equipment
The practice uses a modern electronic medical record system, integrated e-prescribing, patient portal communication tools, AI-powered documentation support, and medical dictation technology to reduce administrative burden.
Investment in dermatology-specific tools—such as dermatoscopes, procedural equipment, and cosmetic devices—is available based on clinical needs and growth goals.
Referral Network
In addition to internal primary care referrals, the practice maintains relationships with surrounding medical groups to support incoming and outgoing referrals for specialized dermatologic or non-dermatologic care.
