JOB SUMMARY
The Commis Sommelier Level 1 executes the daily tasks, which keep the whole team running smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but not be limited to, the following areas and activities. At management discretion, direction may be given for tasks outside the scope of work described.
- To support the Head Sommelier and the Outlet Sommelier in charge on a day-to-day operation. To achieve the highest standards of cleanliness regarding the Mise en Place and to prepare bottles for service in the restaurant.
- To perform the Mise en Place as per the “Hotel Name” Standard Operating Procedures.
- To help organize and check in deliveries.
- To participate in the resort wine service as the Head Sommelier wishes whether in any of the restaurants.
- To follow the mise en place as written by the Sommelier in Charge of outlets
- To use the Standard procedures for Decanting and Carafing, Wine Service and Cigar Service.
- To maintain good communications with all other hotel departments.
